Networking vendor, Juniper, has brought out a new training program to aid channel partners in sharpening their specialised skills.
The Continuing Education Program is divided into sales and technical categories for training sales and system engineers in the key areas of cloud networking, security, switching, routing and mobility.
The program is a new component in Juniper’s Learning Academy, an online learning centre.
Partners can choose to take courses on specific products, new skillsets, industry fundamentals as well as services and support.
Each course offers credit points when a certain criteria is satisfied including time, difficulty and select Juniper initiative. Points will be assigned once a partner completes an exam.
“Specialised training, education and hands-on experience are critical to the success of our partners and clearly differentiate and validate their expertise in the eyes of their customers and prospects,” Juniper US senior vice-president of partners, Frank Vitagliano, said in a statement.
The program offers a number of learning formats including online testing, webcasts, videos and virtual demonstrations. Juniper touted the program as free and flexible. Specialised accreditations are available.
Accreditations for specific technology types such as mobility will be available in April after the Juniper Partner Conference.
