Townsville-based YearOne Software has Australia's city slickers turning their heads after it cracked yet another foreign market with the sale of its business software product, Powerlink, in Sri Lanka.
Software developer YearOne first made its presence felt when it launched Powerlink in April 1999. The product is integrated with accounting software Attache, adding enhanced features -- such as CRM, job costing, quoting, manufacturing, bill of materials, serial number/batch tracking and custom reporting -- to Attache Software's core accounting functionality.
The popularity of Powerlink did not escape the attention of Sri Lankan software megalith Informatics International, which established a new company, Multitech Lanka, primarily to handle Attache and its related products. After Powerlink was incorporated, Multitech immediately requested that it be appointed the Powerlink distributor in Sri Lanka.
Powerlink has over 700 registered users with sales in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Switzerland and Sri Lanka.
