NBN Co executive retires

Doug Campbell gives it away for personal reasons.

NBN Co board member and NBN Tasmania executive chairman, Doug Campbell, will retire at the end of the year.

Personal reasons were cited as the reason for his departure.

Campbell has been in the telecommunications industry for more than 50 years and held various senior positions at Telstra during his career.

He took on the role as NBN Tasmania executive chairman in July 2009 and became a board member of NBN Co in August that year.

“The board, management and staff at NBN Co acknowledge the contribution Doug has made to our progress, and wish he and wife Joy all the best for the future,” NBN Co chairman, Harrison Young, said in a statement.
