The vendor has opened up a new Canberra office and has hired seven staff in response to market demand

Networking vendor, Brocade, has hired opened a new office in Canberra and has boosted its local team.

The new hires and office opening were in response to increased demand in the market.

The Canberra location will be dedicated to federal business. The vendor already has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, New Zealand.

Christian Navarette has joined the vendor as its volume channel manager across A/NZ and Jason Finlayson has been appointed as the value channel manager.

Adam Doyle has come on as IP pre-sales for Federal Government, Pat Devlin has joined as IP enterprise sales covering NSW, Chris Bull as A/NZ service provider, Ben Stewart has become IP technical support engineer and Bernie Parczyk takes on the A/NZ support account manager role.

On top of the new appointments, Mick Slack and Trevor Jones have been promoted to newly created roles taking responsibility for HP Enterprise Services across Asia Pacific.

“We have seen a strong increase in IP related customer enquiries following our recent Brocade One announcement and the newly expanded team will help us meet demand,” A/NZ Brocade regional director, Graham Schultz, said. “Federal Government business is an important focus for us and the addition of the new Canberra based office is a significant step in the right direction.”

The vendor is also expecting to add four more staff in the coming quarter.
