(Nasdaq: MUSE), the leading provider of business and service assurance software, announced significant enhancements to its Netcool®/Dashboards™ product family, which provides executive management, IT operations and lines of business with realtime intelligence and end-to-end visibility into the health of business and IT services, processes and key performance indicators. The Netcool/Dashboards product family, including Netcool®/Desktop™, Netcool®/Webtop™, Netcool®/TopoViz™, and Netcool®/Reporter™, allows organisations to gain immediate access to specific, actionable information, enabling them to make strategic and tactical decisions about the business.

Micromuse has just released Netcool/Webtop v1.2 and Netcool/Reporter v2.0, extending the Netcool/Dashboards family with specific new features that will enhance ease of use, flexibility and customisation, increased performance for faster remote access and accountability for secure access by a broad set of authorised users. These enhancements allow organisations to quickly view realtime, historical and trend information that will help streamline business processes and operational decision-making, including current and future technology investments, staffing and workflow issues, and the ability to quickly pinpoint and resolve bottlenecks in the system.

"Through T-Systems' Managed Services and our DecisionPilotSM Managed Services toolset, we are helping customers drive their business objectives and decision-making abilities by defining the critical components that serve as road blocks or weak links to application availability, and managing to a successful, single service level agreement,” said Karl Scott, VP of Managed Services Infrastructure at T-Systems Inc. “As a component of DecisionPilot, Netcool/Dashboards help us visualise our services and the supporting infrastructure – so if a series of alarms come in, Netcool/Dashboards let us know which are service-threatening or service-affecting, so that we can focus our attention where it matters most to the customer. The solution provides us with a clear view and accurate perspective to make quick decisions about the infrastructure on a real-time basis."

“Access to the right information, at the right time, is critical for understanding the state of services and processes that drive revenue and for troubleshooting problems quickly and effectively,” said Ammar Hindi, Vice President Asia Pacific, Micromuse. “Netcool/Dashboards provide ‘anytime, anywhere’ access to realtime, actionable information. They also display the historical, trended information needed to drive operational efficiencies, protect revenue streams, and ensure that long-term business and operational decisions are being made wisely.”

The Netcool/Dashboards family provides an exclusive set of business benefits associated with managing today’s IT and Operational Support System (OSS) infrastructures. Specific enhancements delivered through the releases of Netcool/Webtop v1.2 and Netcool/Reporter 2.0 include:
