Macquarie Telecom and IPscape form cloud bond

The three-year deal was formed around strong security credentials

Macquarie Telecom and IPscape have formed a three-year partnership to offer customers cloud solutions.

The deal will see Macquarie Telecom host IPscape critical applications in its high-graded datacentre.

Current IPscape customers include BT, Teleperformance, Delfin Lend Lease and the Northern Territory Government.

“Macquarie Telecom understands the intense business and performance requirements demanded by voice communications in the cloud,” IPscape CEO, Simon Burke, said in a statement.

“While we have built redundancy and disaster recovery facilities into the solution, it’s vital that the underlying infrastructure steps up in terms of uptime.

"Macquarie Telecom adds to IPscape world-class infrastructure in a cost-effective, PCI compliant environment.”

The security that Macquarie Telecom offers was considered critical in forming the relationship.

Macquarie Telecom will provide cloud enabled services, as well as manage routers, switches, firewalls and Internet services for IPscape.
