IT Clouds has launched a new cloud-based business after identifying opportunity in the SME space.
For those SMEs struggling with transitioning some applications, the cloud provider also offers a consultancy practice.
It’s this value add that will differentiate IT Clouds in a market rapidly approaching saturation, IT Clouds head of products and technology, Ken Georgopoulous, said.
“We’ve already seen competitive situations where we’ve ended up winning based on the value add we can offer,” he said.
IT Clouds already has a dozen customers on the books, according to Georgopoulous, some of those migrated from previous hosting businesses that IT Clouds has maintained since its inception in 2009.
Although a quiet Christmas period is expected, the provider is aiming for 5-10 new customers per month in 2011.
Georgopoulous also said despite the value adds, IT Clouds is confident in remaining price competitive and maintaining margin.
“Initially, we didn’t take the approach of looking at our competitors when we built our pricing model, because we are offering that value-add, but the prices we arrived at have come out cost competitive anyway,” he said.
