Chris Carr is Nokia's new general manager of Australia and New Zealand.
He replaces Emile Baak who has decided to return to Europe after two years in the job.
Carr was previously Nokia vice-president for sales in South East Asia-Pacific and was based in Singapore. He will move back to Australia and begin work in January.
“It’s an exciting but challenging time ahead for Nokia both locally and globally,” Carr said in a statement.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do but I’m confident we can continue to deliver solutions that people want, build on our footprint and strengthen mindshare particularly at the high-end.”
New Nokia sales and retail heads have also been named with Steve Lewis and Greg Clark taking the roles, respectively.
