Communications integrator, NSC Group, has established a new business unit, NSC Consulting.
The unit will be headed up by Paul Edmondson, who has been with the integrator for about six years and was most recently its Queensland state manager.
“We’ve been in business for 21 years and this is a natural evolution of the organisation in terms of maturity and responding to the market. We’ll be supporting our clients with a much deeper and business aligned engagement,” Edmondson said. “The technology-led approach isn’t sustainable and having a closer and stronger alignment with the customer’s business is key to successful outcomes for our clients and NSC’s business.”
It will be made up of two areas including customer experience optimisation and enterprise collaboration, and will focus on supplying strategy development, business process and requirements analysis, technology consultancy, operational readiness assessments and end-to-end solution design. This encompasses assisting clients with investment and ROI guidelines, project governance, quality assessment and measurement.
“It’s a significant investment and we’ve already started reaping the rewards from a number of engagements that are in progress already,” he said.
The unit will consist of about 10 staff including business consultants, domain experts, solution architects and systems analysts.
“We’re trying to keep up with demand and we’re already seeking additional headcount for growth, particularly in the area of business consultants,” he said. “A lot of the work we’re doing is around strategy review and that’s now flowing into the stages of analysis and design.”
“We’re seeing an uptake from our client base to help shape their ongoing strategy, but also from new markets and customers across retail, distribution, business process outsourcers and the financial services area as well.”
The integrator recently appointed Mark McBride as its new Queensland and Western Australia state manager.
