US-based identification and security supplier, Brady Corporation, has acquired NSW-based security provider, ID Warehouse, for an undisclosed sum.
ID Warehouse, which was founded in 1994, supplies security identification and visitor management products including identification card printers, access control cards, wristbands, tamper-evident security seals and identification accessories.
The company sells its products primarily online and via its sales force to security, human resources, marketing, event management and facilities control markets predominantly in Australia. ID Warehouse has annual sales of approximately $US8 million.
“The acquisition of ID Warehouse gives us an opportunity to further grow our people-identification business in Australia and further expand our reach in the region,” Brady Australia managing director, Esther Savvas, said. “They are an established, well-respected company with a passion for customer service.
Their comprehensive knowledge of the security and identification industry makes them the go-to source for complete identification solutions, and will complement our current business in Australia well.”
Brady launched its Australian presence in 1970 and added production operations in 1979. It acquired Visi Sign near Melbourne in 1999, Safety Signs Service in Western Australia in 2001, and Accidental Health & Safety, Trafalgar First Aid, and Carroll Wiring Accessory Specialists in NSW in 2006. Brady employs approximately 200 people in Australia and operates from a 60,000 square-foot facility in Regents Park near Sydney.
