Storage vendor, EMC Australia has extended David Webster's responsibilities to cover South East Asia.

In the extended role, Webster will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and operational performance across both A/NZ and South East Asia regions.

He will oversee business functions including development of leadership talent, programs for enhancing relationships with customers and partners.

Webster will be based in Sydney and will continue to report to EMC Asia Pacific and Japan president, Steve Leonard.

Each of the A/NZ and South East Asia regions will continue to have its own management team under a common direction and executive leadership of Webster.

In a statement, Leonard said Webster’s success in building a healthy long-term foundation of growth for EMC in A/NZ, together with his experiences in Asia earlier in his career, made him an ideal candidate.

Webster's career spans over 20 years in the information technology industry across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Webster was based in Singapore covering hardware, software and services in a previous leadership role for Silicon Graphics, covering Singapore and South East Asia.
