State-of-the-art cars, tiny MP3 players, plasma screens . . . even the Internet fridge. It was all at the recent Consumer Electronics Show Australasia at Fox Studios in Sydney. More than 60 exhibitors were on hand with all the latest in gadgetry, and even a few channel players. Galas Electronics joined the likes of Ricoh, Panasonic, LG and Sony in showcasing its latest products. But by far the most popular exhibits were those that combined computing power with speed. Panasonic set up a home theatre in its Panasonic Toyota Racing Celica while Sony's car included a Vaio notebook and mouse, so that time spent in traffic can be spent efficiently.
