Security vendor, Trend Micro, is offering a monthly subscription and billing structure for its managed service providers and distributors.
It will be available to Australian channel partners later this month.
Software licensing distributor and Trend Micro partner, NewLease, will be the first partner to offer the new billing structure. It will apply to its SMB product offering called, Worry-Free Business Security.
Trend Micro A/NZ managing director, Dave Patnaik, said the subscription offer was a direct response to channel feedback on ways to provide customers with more choice in their business arrangements.
“Our MSP partners are now able to offer their customers increased flexibility in how they manage their software infrastructure,” Patnaik said. “We are confident that NewLease’s subscription experience coupled with Trend Micro’s strong partnerships throughout the channel will create a stronger competitive advantage.”
NewLease head of product and marketing, Boughton Canton, said the new billing structure would enhance the product’s appeal to customers looking to better manage cash flow and resources.
