Distributor Natcomp is expanding on its previous focus on monitors by adding flat bed scanners and digital cameras from Taiwanese vendor Mustek to its product range.
Natcomp managing director, Fabio Grassia said monitors are still responsible for the majority of the business, but the exclusive agency with Mustek is a logical expansion as PC sales decline and peripherals sales grow.
Grassia said the "low to mid-range" scanners have been on the shelves since early in November and go head-to-head with Canon and HP product already in the marketplace. Recommended retail prices for the Mustek scanners start from $79 and go up to a $199 model.
Digital cameras from Mustek will be available through Natcomp in January.
Founded in 1988, Natcomp now has its headquarters in Sydney with branch offices in Brisbane, Perth and Auckland.
