Zoe Nicholson has been promoted as the vendor's director of channel sales across Asia Pacific and hires new southern region channel executive, Tom Castell.

IT security and data protection vendor, Sophos has made a number of new appointments and promotions within its team.

Zoe Nicholson has been promoted to the role of director of channel sales in Asia Pacific after six years as the channel sales manager of Sophos in Australia and New Zealand. In her new role, she will focus on continuing to recruit, develop and manage the vendor’s channel partner network.

It has recruited Tom Castell as its channel sales executive in the southern region, specifically focusing on Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. It has also hired new business development managers including Shayne Cooper in Western Australia and Ed Garnett in ACT. Andrew Crawford-Flett has been brought on as an account executive in QLD.

According to Sophos Asia Pacific managing director, Rob Forsyth, the new hires and promotions signal consistent growth for the company as it continues to invest in skills, resources and products for its customers and partners.

“Over the course of the year we’ve brought on some highly talented individuals to complement the business across many departments, including sales, customer retention, technical support and SophosLabs,” Forsyth said. “We’ve seen very positive growth in the company, so it’s an environment where employees have the scope to further develop their own careers and have the opportunity work with some seasoned IT security specialists.”
