Internode bring WiMax to Riverland

The SA-based ISP is offering a no connection fee deal to ADSL deprived residents under the Broadband Guarantee

Internode has switched on WiMax wireless services to Riverland and Murrylands region of South Australia.

The network, which was built by Internode’s subsidiary, Agile Communications, spans Mannum to Renmark.

The area falls under the Federal Government’s Australian Broadband Guarantee initiative and pays a subsidy to ISPs willing to provide DSL comparable services to business and residents.

Internode is offering a no connection fee deal to customers on the new network thanks to the Guarantee.

The SA-based ISP now has extended wireless DSL coverage across Berri, Black Hill, Blanchetown, Maggea, Murry Bridge, Ramco and Renmark.
