Bruce Ind will take the helm of ASX-listed broadband hardware distributor Quadtel, replacing the company's former CEO, Rod Orrock. The distributor has also announced that its product marketing manager, Paul D'Ambra, has been appointed head of sales and marketing as part of an internal restructuring exercise.
Orrock departed Quadtel at the end of July to take up an executive position at retail giant Harvey Norman. His successor has been a key member of management with Quadtel for the past 18 months, according to a company statement. Prior to joining Quadtel, Ind established and co-ran Marketing Results (the retail arm of Quadtel) together with Orrock up until its acquisition early last year. As such, Ind was responsible for the majority of the company's ventures and accomplishments and holds excellent ties with key vendors and respected customers.
Following a nine-month stint as Quadtel's product marketing manager, Paul D'Ambra will assume the newly formed position of sales and marketing manager. The role is part of the restructuring exercise aimed at integrating and thereby strengthening these departments, according to the company. D'Ambra has seven years experience within the retail sector, most recently at Harvey Norman as national software coordinator.
"I am pleased to welcome Bruce and Paul into their new positions," said David Ramsay, chairman of the board.
"They are both seasoned professionals with diverse experience in directing sales and marketing operations, along with a demonstrated talent for strategic planning, market analysis and business development."
