Kensington has come up with a solution for all those uncoordinated notebook users plagued by the proliferation of touch-pad controls. Its new PocketMouse Pro is a mobile optical mouse with a retractable cord designed for users on the go. The cord disappears into the mouse when not in use to avoid messy tangles. It connects via USB and needs Win98/Mac OS 8.5 or later to run. Free MouseWorks software downloads are available to program buttons.
