LogicalTech, has become a reseller for mobile enterprise application platform vendor, Pyxis Mobile.
The IT integrator claims it is the vendor’s first reseller outside of the US.
LogicalTech has been in the mobility game for several years to develop business applications for clients that want to remotely access their IT environments. It was using the Microsoft mobile platform to develop applications purely for Windows Mobile devices but wanted to branch out to other solutions.
“Rather than jumping on the iPhone bandwagon, we decided it would be good to have the capacity to develop an application once and be able to deploy it across a number of platforms,” LogicalTech business development general manager, Martin Coyle, said. “So we started to have a look around to see what was available and that’s when we discovered Pyxis.”
The vendor had traditionally been involved in the financial, banking and enterprise sector but recently moved into the consumer market. Its platform supports apps for Blackberry, iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile services.
“We knew it had scalability in terms of tens of thousands of users can be using one app. We also knew security was well taken care of,” Coyle said. “This single platform can build so many different types of apps that are 100 per cent customisable to what customers want in their workflow process.”
Coyle expects the new partnership to generate around $5 million per year for LogicalTech.
