Reseller, L7 Solutions has struck up a partnership with EMC to address challenges in providing certifications for Western Australia-based partners.
Currently, partners need to travel to the eastern states to complete training courses, which run for up to four days - a process that is quite expensive and one that L7 itself has gone through, according to training business development manager, Melissa Strutt.
Through its three-month old subsidiary, L7 Training, the reseller and EMC have come to an agreement to facilitate and host training courses in fields such as EMC Avamar Administration, CLARiiON Host Integration and Management with SnapView and VMware vSphere.
The partnership is not one that Strutt expects to generate a lot of business out of, but L7 is very pleased to be able to bring the training to Western Australia-based partners.
“We need a minimum of six enrolments to run a course – and it’s been encouraging that we’ve already had 15 or so enquiries about it when we have scheduled courses,” Strutt said.
The EMC Proven Professional Program offers a role-based series of courses and exams that cover the full range of EMC’s hardware, software, and solutions. It aims to develop and validate skills required to plan, deploy, manage, and leverage information infrastructure. The program features three levels of recognition; associate, specialist and expert level, to differentiate the knowledge and skills of certified professionals as they advance their expertise.
