If you've driven through Artarmon in Sydney's North Shore lately, you may have seen a big nose. A bloody big red nose. It is on the front of the building at Computer Associates (CA). The generous guys at CA are hoping to raise funds to help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) by rallying behind the cause on Red Nose Day. As part of the fundraiser, the staff of CA have organised a range of activities, which include comedy nights, raffles and auctions.
In Sydney, CA raffled a signed jersey from ACT's rugby team the Brumbies (open to all Australian staff) and employees attended a Comedy Event organised by the Red Nose Day organisers. The Canberra office held a Red Nose Day lunch for staff on Friday. The Brisbane office hosted two areas for the purchasing of Red Nose products for the local community. CA employees also gave out pins to their clients and friends to wear on Red Nose Day.
Red Nose Day is an important day for the awareness of infant mortality, and CA hopes that other organisations can take a leaf out of their book and help the cause as much as possible.
