Nance crowned Oracle’s new local channel boss

Patricia Nance replaces Paul Muller, who has taken up another role within Oracle, heading up its Northern Region technology licence business.

Oracle has named Patricia Nance as its new head of alliances and channels.

She replaces Paul Muller, who has shifted to the company’s technology licence part of the business for the Northern Region.

While an Oracle spokesperson declined to comment on local staffing changes, it is understood Nance has a strong background in IT, services and the public sector.

She has worked as the CEO of Distillery Software, the general manager of Oracle Asia’s public sector, as well as a sales director for Unisys and sales executive for Digital Equipment Corp.

With Oracle’s official takeover of the Sun Australia subsidiary on March 1, there is still no official channel feedback on the post-Sun channel structure.

While details still remain scarce on how the two organisations will be combined locally, the company is gearing up for partner sessions on information management and storage needs starting on August 17 across the Tasman. The sessions will also take place in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney starting on August 19, August 24 and August 26 respectively.
