To celebrate a strong quarter, in which Tech Pacific made a clean sweep of HP's recent Recipe for Rewards promotion, staff from both companies took to the Sydney Harbour aboard a luxury catamaran.
The Recipe for Rewards promotion, which ran from November to the end of January, was designed as an incentive for HP's wholesale partners to improve integration with their reseller base for the sale of HP's consumer hardware range of products, including DeskJets and digital cameras.
Tech Pacific received the most registered orders during each participating month and took out the grand prize at the end of the quarter.
Champagne in hand, HP and Tech Pacific staff departed the distributor's office in limousines bound for King Street Wharf, where they boarded the 80ft catamaran, Magistic, and dined on a seafood buffet while taking in the sights of Sydney Harbour.
Matt Codrington, Tech Pacific's HP business manager, told ARN that the distributor won the award based on its renewed hunger in the market and its improved communication with customers, for whom they have recently provided a variety of special offers.
Overall it was a fairly light-hearted and casual evening, and "a good time was had by all".
