Verbatim dyes discs

Verbatim is now shipping DataLifePlus 40x-certified CD-R discs. The discs feature Super Azo recording dye, which reacts faster to laser light than dyes used by other manufacturers, resulting in faster recording with less errors, according to Verbatim. The new media can burn 700MB of data - around 80 minutes worth of music - in around two minutes. The CD-R's silver reflective layer has dual protection from scratches as standard and can also be used in older, slower drives. The discs are available in packs of 10, which retail for $13.www.verbatim.com.au.
