UXC Connect has kicked off a partnership with a third IT giant – Apple for its iPad.
UXC Connect is also a Cisco and Microsoft partner.
Director of marketing, sustainability and innovation, Iggy Pintado, said the integrator saw great potential for the iPad in the health, education, utilities and Government sectors.
“It’s great to be the first authorised enterprise reseller for the iPad in Australia,” Pintado said.
“If you look at the iPhone and its adoption cycle, organisations are looking at delivering applications on more mobile platforms. In terms of content delivery, we see the iPad as not replacing any piece of infrastructure, but rather enhancing productivity.”
Pintado’s comments echo those made by a broader industry representatives keen to trial iPad applications in a wide range of verticals.
Pintado didn’t rule out bringing the rival tablet to market as well.
“We’re a customer-centric organisation, and not focused on specific pieces of hardware. We will provide the right solution for a customer’s needs,” he said.
In May, Getronics was re-named UXC Connect.
