Simms jumps at new Apple SME opportunities with Marketcircle

iPad demand driving an increase of SME interest in Apple

Growing opportunities in the Mac SME space have led Simms International to partner with Marketcircle.

Marketcircle is software vendor with a number of business management products for Mac OS X and iPhone.

The Daylite productivity tool manages mail, tasks, calendar scheduling, project collaboration, the sales process and contacts. Billings professional time billing offers logical work flow and an intuitive interface to make quoting, time tracking and invoicing simple.

Simms managing director, Danny Moore, said the new partnership was one of a few that could be expected in the coming months.

“There’s growing opportunity in the Apple SME space – people are now wondering whether they can run their businesses entirely on Macs,” Moore said.

“It’s only 6 per cent of the market, and it’s currently a segmented and fragmented space, but we’re looking at pulling it together, and its rapidly growing.

“We’re coming from a low base.”

Marketcircle has previously operated through individual Apple resellers, before deciding there was greater opportunity in adopting a broader distribution model, Moore said.

The products provided ample bundling opportunities, and would be looking for additional vendor partners in fields such as iPad plugins, networking and storage, he said.
