A former employee of enterprise software company, Oracle, is suing the company and a former colleague over alleged sexual discrimination.
In early June, Rebecca Richardson filed her first statement of claim in the Federal Court in Sydney alleging unlawful discrimination by Oracle and a consulting sales manager, Randol Tucker.
The first directions hearing was held on July 2 in front of Justice Robert Buchanan. A further directions hearing was set for October 15.
According to Richardson’s LinkedIn profile, she started with Oracle in 1998 as a product manager and moved through the ranks to an Asia-Pacific consulting program manager position. She left the company in 2009 and is now working for storage vendor, EMC.
Tucker, a consulting sales manager, has been with Oracle since 2007.
