The second set of quarter-finals produced yet another shock - Evolve IT's massacre at the hands of Triforce. It wasn't the the fact the much-fancied Evolve IT lost, more the size of Triforce's victory that was shocking. It was Triforce's third four-goal haul in the Cup and it's looking like real threat for the title - despite the relative youth of the team. Evolve IT, superstar Lionel Messi included, simply had no answers to a brilliant display and paid dearly for allowing Triforce way too much space into which to run.
Anyware Computer Accessories, another much vaunted outfit, won but struggled against a close checking Unisys that gave Anyware little room to move. Anyware compounded its problems by fiddling with the ball a lot and should have taken more more shots on goal. Remarkably, both sides had a penalty saved in the second half and it came down to Spain's unstoppable striker, David Villa, to score his fifth goal of the tournament. The 83rd minute strike was enough to take Anyware into a showdown with Triforce - what a match that promises to be.
