Unified communications distributor, Wavelink, has changed its management structure in response to a significant growth trajectory.
The distributor had previously operated with a flat management structure, where most of its directors were involved with the management of the company.
The company’s growth - 50 per cent over the past 18 months, and a 200 per cent growth in terms of products, meant it needed someone more directly responsible for the business. Wavelink appointed one of its directors, Ilan Rubin, as its new managing director.
In his new role, Rubin will be responsible for bringing a couple of new vendors into the Wavelink fold in the coming months, and strengthening the distributor’s relationships with key partners and suppliers.
“We have a very clear vision of where we want to be in three years time, and I will be focusing on fostering new relationships in line with that vision,” he said.
Rubin, who is based in Melbourne, was previously the business development director.
