The final games of the second round promised plenty but didn't deliver as much. Up against better opposition Bluechop Infotech didn't show-off the same attacking flair that it got into the second round, and Unisys weren't a lot better. After a dull 90 minutes and a just as dull 30 minutes of extra time, it came down to a penalty shootout. Bluechip's Komano hit the crossbar, Cardozo slotted home the next for Unisys and it was all over. Unisys now play Anyware Computer Accessories in the quarter-finals.
The traditional rivalry between Anyware Computer Accessories and Distribution Central was much better game with plenty of chance but only one goal - in the 63rd minute from Anyware Computer's David Villa, his fourth of the Cup so far. The Ronaldo-led Distribution Central tried hard but they couldn't find a way through Anyware's defence and in the end went home on the only goal it conceded in the whole tournament.
The next games will be the quarter-finals which start on Friday night (AEST). Until then - get some sleep!
