SAP partner, CN Group, is broadening its horizons and as is considering moving into the Melbourne market.
The decision comes on the back of the services provider’s recent SAP integration project wins with the NSW Department of Education and Training and OneSteel.
SAP appointed CN as a lead integrator for the HR Payroll implementation at the NSW Department of Education and Training. It will also lead three other SAP system integrators on this transformation project. OneSteel selected CN as its advisor and partner in its SAP transformation program.
CN Group CEO, Brian Pereira, said a focused approach to market saw the group through the economic crisis and got it to the strong position it finds itself in, after the first fiscal half of this year. A change in approach to customers had also helped it win recent tenders.
“We’ve almost gone back to handcrafting solutions for customers rather than selling on a commodity basis,” Pereira said. “We also felt it was important to be as flexible as possible with our customers through the GFC.”
The CN Group is considering developing a Victorian presence in the coming year. It’s currently active in Sydney and Brisbane markets.
Pereira said it would attempt to emulate its successful organic growth when it opened the Queensland office.
“In Brisbane, we started with two people, and followed through with a good win quickly, and scaled based on that. Now we have 10 people in the office after 12 months of operation,” Pereira said.
“Our goal would be to break even in the first year with a Victorian office. We’re targeting the healthcare, industrial products and services, and public sector verticals.”
