HP restructures Imaging and Printing Group

The vendor introduces a new sales operation and distribution unit headed up by Mal Wun

The HP Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) has been restructured leading to the development of a new sales operations and distribution unit.

Mal Wun has been promoted to lead the new Sales Operations and Distribution division. He was previously the sales operations manager and joined HP in 1998 as a financial analyst, and was appointed finance manager of IPG in 2002.

The After Market Sales (AMS) division will be split between the Inkjet Web Solutions (IWS) and LaserJet Enterprise Services (LES) units. AMS was previously in charge of the vendor’s supplies business.

In a statement, vice-president of IPG HP South Pacific, Richard Bailey, said the changes to the organisation will help align a true printing system where LES and IWS will have responsibility for both supplies and hardware.

Rob McCance has been appointed as the business manager for LES. McCance joined HP in 2004 as the southern region enterprise sales, before becoming the after market sales manager in 2008.

Hamish Alexander has become the country manager for HP IPG in New Zealand. In the last five years, Alexander has worked in a number of roles within HP including supplies sales and marketing manager in New Zealand, IPG business development manager and business manager retail photo for both HP South Pacific and HP Asia Pacific.
