Ingram appoints new datacentre head

Frank Tilleli has been brought over from Ingram US to head up the Australian datacentre unit

Ingram Micro has hired Frank Tilleli to head up its datacentre business unit.

Tilleli replaces Tertuis Bezuidenhout who left the distributor in April for Dell as the solutions and services director for its large enterprise business.

Tilleli was brought over from Ingram US to take up the post. He was previously the market development manager for VMware and will be based in Sydney.

Tilleli's first point of focus is to get to know the Australian market and to help its vendors build go-to-market strategies.

“It’s really about getting to understand the expectations of the vendors that fall within the datacentre business unit. I really want to make sure that I’m getting feedback from resellers,” Tilleli said. “I want to ensure that the vendor organisations truly understand the distribution model and how we can drive strategies together instead of independently.”

Tilleli is in the process of meeting with all the vendors under the datacentre unit such as Avocent, Cisco, CA and Platespin.

“I want make sure that what we’re doing is understanding what their vision is of the channel and how they want to play within that channel,” he said.
