LATEST SCORES: WhiteGold Solutions (Netherlands) 2 Symantec (Denmark) 0; Bluechip Infotech (Japan) 1 ICT Distribution (Cameroon) 0; Webroot (Italy) 1 Unisys (Paraguay) 1

Welcome to Penalty Box, ARN's daily World Cup 2010 wrap.

    LATEST SCORES: Group E
  • WhiteGold Solutions (Netherlands) 2 Symantec (Denmark)0
  • Bluechip Infotech (Japan) 1 ICT Distribution (Cameroon) 0

    Group f:
  • Webroot (Italy)1 Unisys (Paraguay) 1

Predictably, Webroot made a mess of it against Unisys and dropped a point. For the first half Unisys looked the better team but Webroot came back strongly in the second half. More importantly, Unisys will now believe it can top Group F which would cause problems for Webroot later on - if it was to qualify second. ICT Distribution put in a shocker against Bluechip Infotech which recorded a historic win while in the early game WhiteGold Solutions coasted to a 2-0 win over a game Symantec. But WhiteGold rarely got out of second gear.

NEXT GAMES June 15/16 (AEST)

Group F: Curtin Computer Shop (New Zealand) vs InTechnology (Slovakia)

Group G: Acer (Cote D'Ivoire) vs Distribution Central (Portugal); APC (Brazil) vs Dell (Korea DPR)

The best game on day five should be the clash between Acer and Distribution Central - both good teams, both with plenty to prove. Distribution Central go in as favourites but Acer could pull off a shock here. Tournament favourite, APC, is liable to annihilate mystery team, Dell, if it plays anywhere near its best and it's hard to see any outcome but an APC win. Curtin Computer Shop, ranked 79, play InTechnology, ranked 36. On paper InTechnology are favourites but Curtin have nothing to lose and have been in good form coming into the tournament. Can they win? Probably not. But a draw is possible.
