Konica Minolta has appointed Hassan Baickdeli as its new IT channel sales partner manager.
He was previously with Ingram Micro as its national Toshiba business development manager for corporate (general business) notebooks. Taking control of the IT channel sales division, Baickdeli will report to David Vogt, the vendor’s sales manager.
In the new role, he will be responsible for developing and managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 channel partners, with a focus on the Victorian and Tasmanian markets. While it’s not a newly created role, the focus has shifted onto southern markets.
Baickdeli was excited about the vendor’s prospects in the market, especially within the systems integration space, and has been set some lofty goals around partner expansion.
“Growth is key for us,” he said. “Currently via distribution we have around 200 partners. By the end of the year, I would like to double that to 400.”
