Racing games are about to get that much racier, with Guillemot's latest steering wheel release. Guillemot, a producer of graphics cards and other PC peripherals, signed a licensing deal with Ferrari that has resulted in the release of the F1 Force Feedback Racing Wheel - a lifelike replica of the actual wheel in champion driver Michael Schumacher's racing car. The wheel features polished aluminium fittings, a precision steering mechanism and a set of pedals for the full in-car experience, as well as rubberised grips and carbon-textured wheel rim. The set is so detailed, in fact, that Guillemot refers to it as a collector's item as much as a game controller. The wheel also features nine fully programmable buttons, as well as ThrustMapper programming software to further customise the wheel's performance. In addition, the force feedback mechanism itself is as quiet as it is powerful.
The F1 Force Feedback Racing Wheel retails for $399.
