With FIFA World Cup 2010 fever heating up in June, ARN has devised its own version of the World Cup and we want you and your company to get involved.
The first 32 companies that register for one of the spots, will be given a team. Even if your company misses out, there's still the Best Supporter Competition. Distributors, vendors and resellers are welcome to sign up.
To get started, you need to fill in the registration form. For a company to be eligible a minimum of six staff need to fill in the registration form in full including the company's name and the chosen team captain. Of course, the more the merrier, so squads of 20 or 30 are fine.
Each team member will also need to register for the ARN World Cup.
Countries will then be allocated from the top ranked team through to the lowest ranked team in the 32 qualifiers. But the first company with its fully registered members will get Australia.
Then the next fully registered company gets the top ranked country at the World Cup. That is Brazil. So far, Australia, Brazil and Spain have been taken.
For example, Company A = Australia, Company B = Brazil, Company C = Spain, Company D = Netherlands, Company E = Germany. So when Australia plays Germany it will be Company A v Company E, and so on.
The fate of your company will depend on the fate of your team. A scoreboard and special match reports from the company's chosen team captain will be provided on a weekly basis.
The company that gets the World Cup winning country receives a certificate, a trophy and a $500 donation to the company's chosen local junior football team or academy.
Company registrations will close on June 10.
And if you do get knocked out early there's always the Best Supporter Competition.
Simply email us a photo of yourself in your best supporters garb and you'll be in the running to win a $250 donation to your chosen local junior football team or academy.
All photos will go online in a special slideshow. The winner will be based on reader votes. Entries for this competition will close on July 4, one week before the World Cup final.
If your company is holding a World Cup event or a corporate competition, feel free to drop an email with pictures of the event to ARN's football fanatic, Julia Talevski, at email@example.com.
