The distributor will supply resellers with the entire range of SolarWinds products, such as its Orion suite of network and application management solutions, and Profiler suite of storage and virtualisation products.
"We’ve been able to work an arrangement with SolarWinds to really support the technology and tools they have in the market," Ingram group product manager, Darren Elsby, said. “Our partners are able to buy the tools locally, whereas in the past, they weren’t able to. The feature set of these products are very much in line with the changes Ingram has been making as far as our managed services portfolio.”
SolarWinds will allow partners to build services on top of the product offering, Elsby said.
“It’s a great way for partners to invest and build their services and provide a variety of offerings in the market,” he said. “The opportunity is for a variety partners, from straight software sales right through to partners interested in becoming managed service providers, and existing integrators.”
SolarWinds director of sales, Harold Klaje, said the Australian market was a key focus for the vendor. As part of the deal, SolarWinds expected to add a significant number of resellers to its Synergy Partner Program by year’s end.
“It makes sense for us to move forward with a well-respected channel partner with a reputation for strong training, customer education and channel support,” Klaje said. “We believe Ingram Micro’s experience and relationships in the region will help us reach a wider audience, and develop a dynamic set of channel partners.”
