Korean retail technology vendor, In4 Media Communication Design, has set up shop in Australia and is looking to develop a channel go-to-market strategy.
In4 Media Communication Design offers a range of high-end retail technologies, such as touch panel 3D multimedia systems, dual operation mirror/video display units and holographic display technologies.
In4 Media sales representative, Jin An, said the company had set-up an office in Chatswood, Sydney, and was in discussions with potential customers.
“There are quite a few units [high-end retail technologies] like these in Japan and Europe, but nothing really of its kind here yet,” An said.
“We’re looking at a distribution approach to market because we wouldn’t be able to handle all the customisation options for each customer in Australia ourselves. Our first priority is in making sure we can meet customer demand, and then talking to distributors.”
The technology isn’t overly difficult to customise, although it is something a typical customer won’t have the resources for, An said. For example, it would take around two weeks to program a virtual shop tour for a shopping mall.
Although still in the early stages of developing a presence in the market, In4 Media has had a strong response from retail verticals such as beauty salons and real estate agents.
