Systems integrator, CSC, has appointed Brad Freeman as vice-president, global business solutions in Australia and Asia-Pacific.
He replaces Rod Paine, who worked at the company from 2000 until early this year.
“I was approached by a head hunter and Rod left the company before I got on-board,” Freeman said. “We’ve got some healthy growth targets this year and I’m still getting my head around those details.”
Freeman previously worked for Accenture and went on to IT integrator, Capgemini, for six years. He worked at HP until taking on his current role. He said his background in systems integration would serve him well.
“CSC has always had a strong systems integration presence. I think there’s room in the market for another top-tier SI to work beside IBM, HP and Accenture as a credible alternative,” he said.
The company had focused on major outsourcing accounts for the past few years and Freeman said he would try to bring CSC back to systems integration.
“We need to swing the pendulum back a bit to get the SI growth back because that’s often the lead-in to a lot of our outsourcing activities,” he said.
