Integ wins $2.5 million managed voice service contract

Services tender with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet worth a potential $7.5 million

UXC subsidiary, Integ Group, has struck a $2.5 million managed voice services deal with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The deal stretches three years and contains additional two three-year extension options, making the potential value of the contract $7.5m over nine years. The voice network supports staff located in the department’s headquarters in Barton, ACT, the Department of Climate Change in Canberra CBD, as well as a number of other satellite government offices.

Under the contract, Integ support staff will be located onsite at the Department and will provide switchboard operators, as well as facilitate system administration, user training, fixed-line and mobile billing support, technical support, extensions and upgrades.

Integ CEO, Ian Poole, said the win, which is a new customer for the integrator and services provider, set the organisation up well to meet its growth goals for the managed services division. Integ has forecasted a 25 per cent increase in its managed services business in the coming year.

“The tender was won competitively, but we’re working with the Parliament, and have had a long relationship and strong track record in Canberra,” Poole said.

In October, the integrator launched a hosted conference centre targeting mid- to large enterprises.
