iPad teleprompters aims at broadcast and public speaker markets

US-based vendor, Bodelin Technologies, has released its range of conversion kits designed to turn the iPad into professional-grade teleprompters.

The ProPrompter HDi and ProPrompter Presidential products are being distributed in Australia through GDB International.

The ProPrompter HDi uses the iPad’s screen to reflect off a 16:9 aspect ratio beam splitter glass. This studio quality glass plate is encased in a padded frame and set in a ABS hood to improve readability and reduce the chance of damage to the device. A camera can then sit behind the screen to capture the eyeline of the reader.

The ProPrompter Presidential uses the same glass plus a sturdy aluminium bracket to prevent slipping. It can be connected to a stand.

The devices are designed to work with the ProPrompter Apps, which are available from the Apple iTunes App Store for $US9.99.

According to GDB International, the devices will begin shipping on April 12.

The ProPrompter PP-HDi Teleprompter has a recommended retail price of $1499.
