Channel ARN Podcast – Huawei talks about racism, security and the Chinese Government

Huawei’s CTO, Peter Rossi, talks about the Chinese company’s plans for wireless broadband and the National Broadband Network

In a short amount of time telco equipment vendor, Huawei, has become the world’s second biggest mobile infrastructure maker.

But as with any company from China, it comes with a lot of baggage and is often treated with suspicion.

It has been accused of having close ties to the People’s Liberation Army and various security organisations have voiced concerns about key infrastructure being built by a potential enemy.

Its local chief technology officer, Peter Rossi, spoke with ARN’s David Ramli about these concerns and the company’s plans for the NBN.
