Ingram appoints Eiselt as volume chief

After months of searching, Ingram selects global IT veteran, Hanspeter Eiselt, as executive general manager of its volume business unit

Ingram Micro has appointed Hanspeter Eiselt as executive manager of its volume business unit in Australia.

Matt Sanderson was previously in the role but moved on in December 2009 to become managing director for the distributor’s UK operation. Eiselt will report directly to managing director, Jay Miley and sit alongside chief of Ingram’s Enterprise Group, David Lenz.

Marketing director, Grant Cleary, said Eiselt will be responsible for sales and products across the unit, which includes PCs, printers, peripherals and the Microsoft line. Eiselt has more than 20 years of industry knowledge on both sides of the vendor and distributor fence.

Prior to joining Ingram, he ran his own private consultancy business assisting emerging businesses with their international expansion plans. He was previously the managing director for Autodesk across A/NZ, a role he held for two years. Before relocating to Australia three years ago, Eiselt spent three years in several leadership roles with Tech Data.

He also held positions at Compaq Computers in the US and Germany as well as sales and marketing roles at Dell in the US from 1997- 2000.

Eiselt starts his new role on April 12.
