Mobipro hasn't wasted any time expanding its local channel presence since it merged with I-Case and became based in Australia last May. The project management software company announced yesterday that it has signed up three new value-added resellers to target the Australian market.
The newly combined company, which has adopted the Mobipro mantle because of the brand's global recognition, claimed it would sign up around six large VARs in Australia and New Zealand by the end of 2002 and its recent signing is in line with this strategy.
The new resellers, Spectrum Interactive Solutions; Teamlink/Timesystem Australia and Task & Time Management, will sell the vendor's full range of products, which include TaskTimer, for management of tasks, appointments and contacts; TaskTimer + ProjectController, for real-time management of projects, teams, goals, meetings and milestones; and TimeWAP, for remote time and contact management via WAP mobile phones, GPRS, G3, SMS messaging, PDA or Web browser.
According to a company statement, Spectrum Interactive Solutions will target the mobile channel, bundling Mobipro's mobile and wireless solutions such as TimeWAP with its existing data services, while Teamlink/Timesystem will focus on recapturing some of the lapsed users of Timesystem's paper-based solutions. Task & Time Management will become a platinum partner and will be selling the full range of Mobipro products, through a network of agents and authorised resellers (Gold Partners).
Barrie MacDonald, a director of Task & Time Management is pleased with the agreement. "This is a fantastic opportunity for both Task & Time and our own resellers, particularly when the world wide project software market is growing at 15 to 20 per cent a year."
