More than 500 GPS units go missing from warehouse

Police estimate devices are worth $100,000 are appealing to the public for information

Police are appealing for information after the theft of about 500 satellite navigation units from Sydney’s inner west.

Gladesville Police were called to a warehouse on Victoria Road about 6.15am on March 20.

Initial inquiries revealed the offenders entered the building around 3am.

The units have an estimated total value of $100,000.

Police are warning the public to be cautious about buying GPS units at reduced prices either online or in pubs and markets.

Anybody who may have information about the identity of those responsible or may have been offered a satellite navigation unit at a reduced price is asked to contact Gladesville Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

All information will be treated in strict confidence.
