IT veteran, Ilkka Tales, has been appointed at the CEO of telecommunications and services provider, Hostech.
Peter Kazacos will be an executive chairman of the company.
Tales takes over from Carlos Perez, who will remain with the company as its executive director looking after its telecommunications side of the business.
Tales has been a Hostech company director since November. He was previously founder and CEO of ASX-listed entity engine (ASX:ENG) and CEO of Mobile Innovations.
In a statement, Hostech chairman Campbell Corfe, said the appointment of Tales as CEO was in line with the company’s direction to strengthen its role in IT services and communications sectors.
The company said the combined skills of Kazacos and Tales will provide Hostech with a wealth of management and entrepreneurial talent to help drive the company’s growth.
Hostech recently announced its intentions to acquire IT services firms including Anittel, Axxis, Accord and Aspirence for $6.9 million in cash and $6.75 million in shares.
