Acer has added wireless technology to its newest home multimedia PC, the Aspire G600, with a keyboard and mouse combination that frees users from the tangle of cables. The G600 also incorporates flash memory technology with a three-in-one reader that supports Secure Digital (SD), MultiMedia Card (MMC) and Memory Stick media. Uses can also use the PC to play music, even if the system is switched off. The audio controls are housed at the top of the PC housing case, along with space to store up to eight CDs. The new Aspire PC features a Pentium 4 2.0GHz chip, 256MB of DDR memory, a 40GB hard drive and comes with the Windows XP Home operating system and a 17-inch CRT monitor. For a limited time, Acer is also offering a one-year onsite parts and labour warranty. Retail pricing starts at $2,499.www.acer.com.au.
