Several key executives fled Digital last Friday, signalling a potential mass exodus from Compaq.
Digital officials said that six senior man- agement staff - including former Digital managing director Ron Bunker - are leaving, despite the fact that Compaq attempted to persuade at least three to remain in the new organisation.
The departures coincided with last Friday's first meeting of Compaq's Core Integration Group responsible for formulating the channel strategies and final management structure within the new Compaq Australia.
Greg Healy, Compaq general manager, business and consumer, and head of the integration group, said the final team is expected to be announced in early October following completion of the company's revised product roadmap in the US.
Likewise, Compaq's new senior management line-up will be clearer within the next few months, he said.
