Systems integrator, Unisys, has snagged a three-year deal with the West Australian Public Trustee.
The client is a statutory body under the authority of the Parliament of Western Australia and is responsible for trustee and management services in the region. Unisys will provide support and enhancement for The Public Trustee’s managed accounting trust environment (MATE) application. MATE is a client information management system (CIMS) used by the customer since 2001.
The contract was secured through a bidding process and has a set term of three-years with two optional one-year extensions. Unisys has had a working relationship with The Public Trust for the past eight years.
In a statement, Unisys Asia-Pacific public sector vice-president, Allen Koehn, said company was proud of its role in building and supporting the core business systems of the agency that holds a critical position in managing financial affairs for a significant number of Western Australians.
The Public Trustee supports 4800 active trustee clients, 100,000 registered wills and 3000 deceased estates every year.
